Pancake day is on Tuesday 25th February, here is a quick and simple recipe courtesy of Delia Smith BBC Food.
All ingredients can be found in the shop together with lots of yummy toppings.
110g plain flour, sifted
pinch of salt
200ml milk mixed with 75ml water
Butter or oil
Sift the flour and salt into a large mixing bowl, make a well in the centre and break the eggs into it, whisk well. Gradually add small quantities of the milk and water mixture until the batter is smooth. Add 2 tbsp of oil or melted butter to the batter and whisk it in. Coat the pan with butter or oil using kitchen paper to smear it round before you make each pancake.
Get the pan really hot then turn down to medium. Using a ladle pour approximately 2tbsp of batter to the pan and immediately tip it around to get the base evenly coated. It should take only half a minute or so to cook, flip the pancake over, the other side will need a few seconds only.
Stack the pancakes between sheets of greaseproof paper on a plate fitted over simmering water to keep them warm.
Serve with your favourite topping
